Product Shelf Life - Most GeoGrafx skin care and bath products are formulated using only natural preservatives. In consequence, the shelf life of these products is generally between three and six months. Refrigerating unused products after three months may help to prolong shelf life. To ensure the maximum shelf life of your skin care products, avoid dipping fingers directly into cream jars. The use of a cosmetic spatula or wooden craft stick to remove cream from the jar will ensure that bacteria from the fingers will not contaminate the product. To preserve potency, we recommend storing all natural skin care products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Because we avoid the use of synthetic emulsifiers, liquid products and/or creams or lotions may need to be shaken or stirred from time to time. Some separation of the water and oil components of certain products is natural and normal. Liquid products may be shaken to blend. Creams may be stirred with a clean toothpick, cosmetic spatula or craft stick.

Mineral Powder and Natural Skin Care Product Samples

We understand how difficult it is to buy cosmetics and skin care items without the benefit of being able to physically see, touch and test them. We want our customers to have confidence that the colors and products they order will meet their needs. Accordingly, we are happy to offer sample products for a nominal charge. Multiple-Choice Mineral Powder samples are $1.00 per color for approximately 1/8 teaspoon. Foundation and Body Shimmer samples are $2.00 for 1/2 teaspoon, which should be sufficient for several applications depending how much product you generally apply. In order to keep costs low, powder samples are packaged in small resealable plastic bags. Selected skin care samples are also available for purchase online.

A note about our loose powder image colors:

We utilize RGB scanning technology to digitize images of the powder colors. When our full-color scanner scans powder containers, it senses the red, green, and blue colors of the sample powder. These three color registrations suffice to record nearly all the colors in the original sample.

However, the sensitivity of the scanner sensors, the filters that are used, and the optical path along which the image travels as it is scanned, bring about color transformations between the original sample and the scanned image. Moreover, the monitor on which you view the scanned image utilizes a different "color language" than that of the scanner or the original sample. Whereas the original powder sample reflects light (subtractive color), your monitor emits it (additive color). Because of this physical difference in how color is produced, even an ideal monitor will display colors that are slightly different from the original red, green, and blue values of the sample.

We make every attempt to accurately scan and tune images to reflect the original samples' rich colors and hues. If your ordered powder is not the expected color, please return the unopened container for a full refund.
